Corndog Tarik Puchong Viral which is located at 47100, Jalan Prima Utama 1, Taman Puchong Prima, 47150 Puchong, Selangor. They got the corn-dog idea from Korean street food. They sell “Sausage Tarik Cheese Melting’’ and also sell “Takoyaki Melt” from the corn-dog stall. The stall is open from 1:00 pm to 6.30 pm every day except for Monday they are closed. They sell Corndog Tarik Cheese for only RM7.00 and there are all sorts of things which they sell such as “Takoyaki Melt’’ for Rm5.00 for 5 pieces and Rm10.00 are 12 pieces of ‘’Takoyaki Melt’’
The main specialty for the stall is the corn-dog which is stuffed with cheese more than just sausage and it is wrapped in a chewy dough, covered in breadcrumbs, deep-fried and they will provide 3 different toppings which are mayonnaise, cheese sauce, and chili sauce. Individuals might not eat hot-dogs or sausages in general but the corn-dog cheese tastes so delicious. They had so many variations available such as filled with mozzarella cheese, sausage wrapped in cheddar cheese. It was delicious and we bought a few of the corn-dogs as it was very affordable.
Corn-dog is trendy now, similar to Boba Tea because most students and kids are obsessed with cheese. Corn-dogs are often served as street food or as fast food. For the best and freshest preparation, some vendors or restaurateurs dip and fry their corn dogs just before serving. Some corn dog purveyors sell pre-made frozen corn dogs, which have been thawed and then fried again or browned in an oven. It is really hard to find the best corn-dog cheese that has a great cheese filling but Corndog Tarik Puchong Viral has the best ones that I have ever tasted.
From what we learned from the owner, she said that the ingredients are hot dogs, sausages or mozzarella sticks, disposable wooden chopsticks, breadcrumbs, oil for frying, and the batter is flour, sugar, salt, baking powder, fat-free milk cold, and egg. The hardest part to do the corn-dog is that they have to make sure to use low moisture mozzarella, otherwise it will melt too much when fried and will leak out. Other than that, they also want to keep the batter cold. If it gets too warm, it will not stick to the hot dog and will runoff.
If your batter starts to get warm, you can refrigerate it until it is cold again. We also learned that it is not that easy to make corn-dog but at Corndog Tarik Puchong Viral, it is very crunchy on the outside and has great cheese fillings which are a great combination. The cheese that they used does not taste like a cheap cheese even though the price is very affordable. They used a good cheese to fill in the corn-dog.
The stall is well known especially in the Puchong area and has many people coming to the stall all the time when they are open. That is why the stall is called “Corndog Tarik Puchong Viral”. We would never regret buying the corn-dog there and we really would recommend to buy this again and also recommend people to come and try their corndog that they sell here.
