Rojak Karim Cendol is located at section 9, Shah Alam. We have quite a busy life, so there is always not enough time for us to eat. For this reason, we prefer fast food places. We like when we don’t need to wait for our order for 20-30 minutes. Apart from this, burgers, pizzas and other similar things are very tasty.
Yet, there is one more place that we like even more than any fast food restaurants and it is Rojak Karim Cendol. Rojak Karim Cendol is situated at the heart of a semi-urban area in TAPAK Seksyen 9 Shah Alam near to offices area. It is a favourite hangout place for employees that loves to try out new foods with the outdoor atmosphere.
There are no table provided at the food truck area because of CMCO but we can see clear view of the outdoor atmosphere and chef working in the food truck. The menu offers a wide variety of delicious and mouth-watering rojak and cendol that will appeal to youngsters and adults alike. The menu that Rojak Karim Cendol offers for rojak are normal rojak, rojak noodles, rojak cuttlefish and rojak cuttlefish with noodles.
Rojak Karim Cendol also offers a wide variety of drinks that is normal cendol, cendol pulut, and Ais Batu Campur. The range price for rojak are from RM5.00 to RM8.00 and for the drinks are from RM3.00 to RM4.50.
We tried the rojak with noodles, as well as boiled eggs, roughly cut radish, roughly cut cucumber, fried tauhu, and fried crispy dough balls. We found that the rojak with noodles was delicious and perfectly balanced. It suit our taste because we does not like food that are too over powering. The mark of a good rojak is its sauce, the sweet and spicy peanut sauce is the key element in binding everything together to make a rojak.
It was also followed by a savoury cendol with a scoop of red beans and jelly noodles. The ingredient of cendol relies heavily on sugar palm and coconut plant. The dessert’s original ingredient are coconut milk, jelly noodles that made from rice flour with green food colouring. Everything we ate was fresh and delicious. The chefs use the best quality ingredients to produce dishes that are simply delightful.
However, the service was not of the highest quality. Because it seems that the waiters were not very engaged or approachable. But the owner seemed very warm and thoughtful. We highly recommend this restaurant. The food is delicious, and the atmosphere is brilliant. We are pretty sure this is a great place to enjoy the tea-time session with the family. Furthermore, it is very relaxing place as everyone always know rojak mee, cendol and ABC is the best food to eat during tea-time.
We can eat together while having a talk about any current issues. However, during the CMCO, all of us must be aware that we must maintain 1Meter for social distancing.
Although, we cannot eat with our friends because there is limited place to sit, we still can eat together at out home. We still can purchase rojak mee, cendol or ABC and eat together during teatime. It is the best thing we create a bonding session with our family or friends at our home. Therefore, there is much more time will wisely spend since we are at home. In the meantime, we watch movies together while eating rojak mee, cendol and ABC. In general, we are very happy that there is such a great place where we can spend a great time with our family and friends to have a bonding session.

Leezo Restaurant was opened by the Mohd Nazuan Nasir who is a young entrepreneur that is passionate and works hard in the food and beverage (F&B) industry approximately 5 years ago. The first restaurant was opened in Batu Pahat, Johor and followed by Melaka, Kluang, Senawang and Shah Alam. Within these five years, he managed to own 9 restaurant outlets and a production centre that focuses on supplying products to his outlets.
In addition, Leezo Restaurant has succeeded to open the job opportunity to all Malaysian where it can be proven when they managed to recruit a total of 145 staff for all the restaurant outlets. This restaurant used normal shop lots and containers as their concepts for their restaurant outlet in order to attract customers by aiming for the new scene in the F & B market. This is aligned with their vision and goal which they want to build iconic Leezo’s brand as a leading restaurant brand in nationwide and to meet their customers’ satisfaction through the food and services that they provide.
Leezo restaurant has aimed to serve a variety of dishes in order to meet the local preference where their dishes vary from western and Italian food, burgers and into the Malaysian cuisine so it can meet the appetite of all their customers. The speciality of this brand is 95% of their signature meal recipe are from the homemade recipe so they have their own uniqueness of the taste of food and drink that every customer will get in Leezo only.
There are variety of foods served in Leezo Shah Alam Restaurant. From Western cuisine such as pastas, lamb chop, chicken chop and burgers to Malaysian cuisine such as tomyam, nasi goreng and Mee. Besides, there are also plenty of drink to choose from such as fresh fruit juice, tea based float and Leezo chocolate based. For this review, the foods that we decided to order was aglio olio seafood spaghetti and chicken chop. The price for the spaghetti was RM13.90 and the price for the chicken chop was RM10.90. For drink we ordered one chocolate drink that cost RM4.90 and chocolate strawberry that cost RM5.90.
We would say that the taste of the foods we ordered was delicious. The chicken chop is so crunchy and well-cooked. The portion of the chicken include the french fries and vegetables was not too big or too small and it was enough for me. The black pepper sauce dip tasted nice too and well-seasoned. Next for the aglio olio seafood spaghetti, the portion of the spaghetti includes crab stick, prawn and clam was enough too.
The spaghetti was full of seasoning and flavour that enhanced the taste of it. Moving on to the drinks, the chocolate drink taste a little bit like CadBurry chocolate but at the same time it’s not too sweet which is good. For the chocolate drink mix with strawberry, it tasted really nice and we just found out that it’s actually a really tasty combination for a drink.
This restaurant also provide service including place to birthday celebration, it’s located in the second floor and they already provide the decoration such as balloon with the letters “Happy Birthday”. Furthermore, Leezo Restaurant also registered in Foodpanda, which is good for customers who want to enjoy meal at home, just type “Leezo Restaurant Seksyen 13” and they will appear. For more information about this restaurant you can refer to their official website which is leezo.com.my.
We would strongly recommend if anyone want to try having a meal at Leezo restaurant. The first reason is because the restaurant has variety of interesting menus for foods and drinks. The foods and drinks we ordered taste satisfyingly good for us and it suits with the price. The place was quite huge, it has two floor and has very cosy environment. Lastly, the workers there are very nice and friendly too.

ATS Curry House is raelly for mutton curry lover, If you are a fan of Nasi Kandar, you most probably would like ATS. If you like heading to eateries that are not mainstream, more of the under-the-radar kind, ATS is perfect for you. Bear in mind that while the selection of dishes isn’t as diverse as other restaurants, they more than make up for it with good taste and flavor. So, here we are back again in Seksyen 22 and it is operating for almost 30 years.
What caught our attention was the long que and how packed the roadside stall/restaurant was. It got us curious and so, we went onto Google to check reviews and we guess it was no surprise that it was rated highly – an average score of 4.1/5 from over 450 folks. In those reviews, there was a repeat mention of really good Mutton Curry, yummy Briyani and Nasi Kandar.
During lunch hour, there usually is a waiting line. Worry not though as the que moves quickly. Depending on your time of visit, all tables may be occupied. Again, worry not as most customers eat and leave as soon as they are done which means that although almost all tables are occupied, it empties quickly too. I barely had to wait for 5 minutes despite it being full house.
Furthermore, due to Covid-19 the shop follows a strict SOP’s and we really appreciate the cleanliness and maintenance of the place. We were required to scan via MySejahtera and enter the shop through one way and exit another way.
Moving on, even though the place is well known for its Nasi Kandar and mutton curry they still serve breakfast starting from around 6am to 10:30am. The shop sells various kind of food such as roti canai, roti telur, roti sardine (known as sardine filling inside roti canai), roti boom (known as sugar and butter mix inside the roti canai), and roti planta. Besides that, they also serve Indian dishes such as dosa, onion dosa, egg dosa and more. “Masakan Melayu” Malay dishes were also available ranging from Malaysia most loved dish that is Nasi lemak to ayam rendang is also available in the morning at ATS Curry house.
During the lunchtime, this stall becomes a totally different place and the crowd will be gathered in just 1 hour after starting of lunch serving that is
at 11am. They serve meat choices of fried chicken, fried fish, mutton curry and ayam madu. They also have fried eggs or boiled eggs with random selection of vegetable serving each day. Not to mention, white rice that goes around with multiple choice of side dishes. Curry that they serve is mutton, chicken and fish.
Alright, so we focused on the most famous dish that made this place recognizable without any add-ons that was mutton curry and mutton as you’ve seen in the food review video we have mentioned that small bowl of mutton is RM10 and big bowl is RM17 and it is considered cheap as it is located in Petaling Jaya. Who cares about price right when the food is very delicious right? Not to worry it is not very expensive because we asked the workers for pricing of their dishes and it is reasonable for their serving portion. RM8 for chicken rice, RM11 for mutton and average spending per person would be only RM7-10.
Last but not least, they also serve drinks such as Kopi ice, Teh ice, Sirap ice and many more. To conclude, even though ATS Curry house serves a lot of dishes, it is still located in roadside and making its entry as a street food stall. So, don’t wait any longer and visit ATS CURRY HOUSE, PJ SEKSYEN 22.

Location: Jalan Ibus 18/40 Section 18, Shah Alam. Close to Masjid An-Nahdah.

Some personal tips from the local seller that can be used when one want to go to the Azmi fried banana stall if worried about long queues:
I. Come as early as possible.

When do you want to open the banana fried stall?” during the recent lockdown. It is very popular among the locals who live there to be the most crunchy and tastiest local Pisang Goreng around.
The peak hours of business is during lunch hours, when during the time of our visit to the stall, it was filled with people queuing to buy the Goreng Pisang. The majority of the customers are workers that stop by during lunch from far and around the areas, they often buy more than RM10 as the price is quite reasonable and cheap starting with RM1 for 3/4 piece.
Due to recent COVID19 cases and SOP protocols, they decided to start their operation on 9 June 2020 (TUESDAY) from 12 Noon – 6 PM (except Friday) at the same location. This is “Bubur Ayam” which is called as Congee in English, Jook in Cantonese, Zhou in Mandarin, and Kanji in Tamil is one of the simplest recipes in the Asian repertoire. The basic version is made with white rice and water with some other options. Thus, this Bubur ayam contains rice with shredded chicken meat and some condiments such as chopped onion spring, crispy fried shallot, salted egg and fried peanuts with soy sauce and pepper for extra taste.
The place is located at Jalan Tasik Permaisuri 1, Bandar Tun Razak, Kuala Lumpur, Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur. They operate everyday from 11.00am to 6.30 pm
The street seller must be aware of the business process, and when running the business, itcan happen. If the service and taste is so delicious, it can be governed by government. It’s probably not about consistency, it’s about the place of operation. In the majority the demand goes to the business district, so the seller has no choice, they decide to sell the goods. In terms of the business side, to promoting the Bubur Ayam has a undertaking for the vendor. Even there are numerous alternatives to promote this meals, but the most appealing region to discover is the pedestrian or taking walks place.
With constrained sources, the vendor occasionally works alone and do many things to put together the meals till offering to the consumer. Rice usually warmness on that place and once the order comes, the seller will combine all condiment to find the better flavor but in that point the purchaser can intrude as alternatives. After all, Bubur Ayam is straightforward meals and has customise, so one can be distinct with type in Asian countries.
The sale of street food is largely an informal sector, a popular practise worldwide. In the third world countries, this usually uncontrolled activity is primarily used in addressing socio-economic shortcomings through the provision of ready-to-eat meals at reasonable rates as well as a way of providing jobs. Street-selling foods are readily available in many ways that customers can choose from, depending on their tastes and preferences, as well as their affordability. This means that these foods can affect human nutrition, food protection and safety in one way or another and directly and indirectly.
Current literature suggests that increased street food consumption will contribute significantly to the supply of nutrients and food to millions of people worldwide. The fact that they have been recognised as likely to improve micronutrients in order to avoid nutritional deficiency diseases is of the highest importance to current developments in road food.
However in terms of food safety concerns, these foods pose potential risks to customers. In developing countries for example, they are typically made to a low or low degree in terms of food hygiene in environments where the customer is often exposed to microbiological and chemical threats that may affect his or her health. The promotion of food safety practises in the production and consumption of street-selling food is therefore urgent, particularly in developing countries, where hygiene standards are questionable, to ensure that consumer protection is guaranteed and at the same time to ensure the provision of nutritious, healthy and affordable foods easily accessed.

They have 4 different types of courier which is Food panda , Grab food , easy eats and WhatsApp for order more than 10 pax +. By using Food panda, we’ve been charged with RM14 plus 4.99 for the delivery service. I will not complain about the price. It is reasonable and acceptable for its reputation and taste.
The rider did a great job delivering the food ASAP to keep the food hot enough to enjoy while it’s hot. The food is delivered to me within 30 minutes. The rider also was practicing SOP with wearing a mask and hand glove and keeping pure hygiene, it’s such an important thing to do during this pandemic period. Thumbs up to the food panda riders for their excellent job.
Well, Pasta Panas had done a well-done job with their attractive packaging food. It follows the American Chinese noodle stall concept type back in those days and was even seen in certain English movies. Meanwhile, the packaging is cardboard and paper which can be reusable unlike other food containers where they use plastic which is bad for the environment. This shows Pasta Panas following the health and environment regulation and rules to preserve the surroundings, well applauded.
I would recommend Pasta Panas to my friends and family if I have the opportunity to have it again or pass by the outlet anytime. Firstly, the food is absolutely delicious where they have many types of sauces and noodles depending on my taste and preferences. Second, the price margin is not much expensive and still considerable, I’d love to have it in the outlet to have the best environment rather than having it sent to me by food delivery agencies where they mark-up the price on the menu for their extra charges.
Next, the location of the outlets is very strategic based on Shah Alam, USJ and Damansara where the population is dense, moreover, it has 9 branches where 6 of it is very close to me in the radius of 15 km. lastly , the packaging seems attractive to me as it brings nostalgia like in the Chinese restaurants back in Chinatown concept where u serve the noodles in the shape of milk carton concept , smart and cheap as its cost of making the packaging varies because it’s made out of cardboard and paper to presume safe environment and minimize budget on packaging. Overall, I will give a rating of 9/10 for Pasta Panas for their absolute delicious meal. Very well recommended.

Tuu.. Dia Paktam is a restaurant located in Vista Alam in Shah Alam.(one of the branches). Affectionately known as ‘Pak Tam Lima Ringgit’ for his ability to run his business on a transportation fuel of RM5 daily, Pak Tam has had his fair share of challenges in growing the business. Since the 80s, Pak Tam have been able to diversify the range of products and services into catering, mart, bakery, food delivery, OEM services, as well as training food manufacturers and entrepreneurs in F&B.
Passion for food is in Pak Tam’s family’s DNA. Along with his wife and six children, Pak Tam and his family diligently manage Sirah Heritage Holdings Sdn Bhd and its wholly-owned companies; Juara Saji Sdn Bhd, Jalinan Madu Sdn Bhd, Pak Tam Katering Sdn Bhd and Halia Bara Sdn Bhd. With over 30 years of experience, Pak Tam is committed to serve the Malaysian F&B market and soon, globally.
There are a variety of Malaysian foods to choose in the restaurant but we decided to review their “Nasi Lemak” as a reference for ‘Malaysian Cuisine’. They got that classic combo of “Nasi Lemak” and sambal taste, the coconut rice is fragrant, the sambal has the balance of sweet and spicy chilly and what makes it even better is their “ayam goreng rempah”.
The fried chicken was the highlight of the dish, it was very tender on the inside and crispy on the outside. It was a great accompaniment to the rice and overall lifted the flavours of the dish but at the same time it is not too greasy. The price of “Nasi Lemak” is RM11.55 but there is an additional cost for delivery fee and service tax which brings the total price of RM16.84.
Pak Tam restaurant provides delivery on many delivery applications such as Grab, Foodpanda and he even has his own delivery service. As we can see the company is doing a good job for prioritizing the delivery service for consumers. We managed to order from Foodpanda as our delivery because the app is very user friendly and convenient to use. The delivery charge for Foodpanda was RM5.29. The estimated delivery time should be 30 minutes, but the Foodpanda rider managed to deliver our order in 28 minutes. That is pretty much an excellent service and accurate.
For the packaging, they use paper tapered takeout boxes. Despite its low durability, one advantage of paper is that it decomposes much more quickly than plastic, and therefore it is less likely to be a source of litter and pose a risk to wildlife. I think that is a good move as a business owner. They have to be concerned about the sustainability of the environment. Moreover, the packaging itself is very well designed with their own brand and logo.
The presentation of the packaging is very good and it has a really nice printing. It does not absorb any moisture and preserve the freshness of the food despite having to carry it on the motorcycle. The sambal is separated in a small plastic bag and we found that it is very helpful because some people do not like their “Nasi Lemak” to have sambal or they just want to put the sambal themselves.

The one that must try restaurant here in Klang Valley, located in one of the busiest areas, Pokok KL offers a sweet escape from city life. The cafe offers the urban crowd a whole new and refreshing dining experience whilst surrounded by the beauty and calm of nature.
Pokok KL Café is founded by Dato Sharon and his wife, Datin Christine. They both startup Pokok KL Café on Deepavali festive, 2018 with the support from Brick House Group. The plan for Pokok KL Café is mainly because they have actually running a small cafe located at Pokok KL itself. But somehow in 2018, they found out that the idea of bringing the new places that attract the younger customer to their place is by having a trendy and also urban environment style of café. Pokok KL Café is only 200 square feet shop.
Already one of the trendiest brunch spots in Klang Valley, Pokok KL Café has done a great job in terms of design and architecture, with emphasis on its floor-to-ceiling glass doors that enhance its simplistic yet aesthetic values. But what make Pokok KL Café more interesting is that they have also “Daun” which is a waiting area for the customer before they can enter Pokok KL Café and “Kedai” which is an artisanal shop beside Pokok KL Café with almost 60 different tenants. About the place, everything was good and modern with a fresh natural environment.
The glasshouse theme effect has been the main highlight especially for the customers, it amaze the cafe hoppers and foodies alike the moment they spot this restaurant. People would enjoy during their brunch time. But there’s only one cons that I discovered, the place is inside University area and it’s always full with University’s student.
We tried one of their great sellers which is Lamb Meatball Pasta. There’s only one words to describe about the food. Perfection. About the price, the price of their food is slightly pricy for University students like us. The Pasta cost us RM28 for a single portion. Apart of the price, the pasta that we’ve ordered is a combination of great masterpiece which combine of good fat from the meat itself.
We could taste the richness of the food. A full, heavy taste that makes people love the food more. I love the preparation, the taste, the presentation, the pasta is not overly cook. It’s perfect as it should be. Food off the menu is prepared fresh from the kitchen, from its soups and bites, to its brunch and mains selections, everything is fresh made. I’m highly recommend their food. It’s so tasty.
Pokok KL Café has also provide delivery services to those who can’t dine in the restaurant. (Or maybe someone who is too lazy to come over). They have 3 different types of courier which is Beepit, Grabfood, and Foodpanda. We only tried using Foodpanda as our delivery service. As for Beepit, customers can directly order from their website or just access through their Instagram account, they can cover up till more than 10km area which is quite impressive.
By using Foodpanda, we’ve been charged with RM5.29 for the delivery service. I will not complaint about the price. It is cheap. The rider done a great job. The food is delivered to me within 33 minutes. The rider’s also wearing mask, it’s such an important thing to do during this pandemic period. Tumbs up to Foodpanda rider’s and did a great job.
We have been told that the packaging they’re using is the same as inside store. As you can see on the video, it’s well wrapped in clear container and a paper bag. The container is a common container that we’re using here in Malaysia. It still preserved the freshness of the food and keep it still in one places even the rider had to wheelie the motorbike. And yes, the pasta is still hot when we received from the rider.
Overall, Pokok KL Café is a must for all younger generations for us. It’s such a great food with a lot of potential. I can tell you guys that this is a thing. They can grow further and well known across the country. I would rate 9/10 overall for this cafe. They are one of kind that young generation would love about them. The idea, the presentation, the food, environment. Everything is so fresh and clean. If this RMCO is over, I would definitely come to this place with my classmates and family. Tumbs up for them.
